Hi, I had this problem around June. I occured about a week before my warranty was due to expire so I sent it back and got a replacement device sent to me by Microsoft. I think it was triggered by CPU intensive tasks such as gaming. I was lucky because my device was still under warranty. I also browsed through the Microsoft forum on the thread you’ve linked to this page and found that many people had the same issue. I ended up getting insurance on my replacement device because it’s not possible to purchase warranty from Microsoft. Until this issue is resolved I would suggest other people to do the same so that they don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars trying to fix their devices. I want to thank you for making this website and trying to get Microsoft to take notice. Best regards, Anosh
