SP4 screen started flickering in Aug 2017, shortly after the 1 year warranty expired. Problem surfaced quickly after turning on the device and using it for a short while. It first started with the emergence of a horizontal line near the top of the screen, and the entire screen below the line vibrates and shakes up and down, escalating in vigour continuously. So far all Windows updates, all video adapter drivers updates, and all software work around failed to address the issue. The entire device is basically a piece of junk now just after a year. Microsoft marketed Surface Pro as premium product without the matching quality and reliability, yet priced it expensively. Consumer Report is fully justified to withdraw their recommendations for Surface Pro. Potential buyers beware.
